EYFS

Alongside the Montessori approach, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to deliver quality education

The EYFS gives all professionals a set of common principles and commitments to deliver quality education and childcare experiences to all children. Our Montessori activities support the seven areas of the EYFS.

Communication & language

Physical development

Personal, social and emotional development

Literacy

Mathematics

Understanding the world

Expressive arts and design

Principles of EYFS

Every child is a unique child, who is constantly learning and can be resilient, capable, confident and
self-assured.

Children learn to be strong and independent through positive relationships.

Children learn and develop well in enabling environments, in which their experiences respond to their individual needs and there is a strong partnership between practitioners and parents and/or carers.

Children learn and develop in different ways and at different rates. The framework covers the education and care of all children in early years provision, including children with special educational needs and disabilities.

Extra-curricular activities

Sports
Our sports sessions provide the exercise benefits with fun and energetic activities to help them find their sporting passions and prepare them for sports they may choose to take on later on in their school life.

ICT
Our highly interactive learning programmes allows children to gain confidence with basic devices and usage through recognising techniques and processes to prepare them for the real world.

Yoga
Yoga has great benefits for children in terms of health and discipline so our yoga classes include breathing control, meditation and mindfulness activities for relaxation with poses for good posture and physical and mental wellbeing.

Languages
Our Spanish lessons for children are structured based on age and ability and feature songs and visual aids for fun and exciting activities with high levels of enthusiasm.
